James Davis was born July 8, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA to Henry Davis Sr. and Clarice Davis. He was the brother of Geraldine Davis and Joanne White who he preceded in death, and leaves behind his brothers Charles Davis, Henry Davis Jr, and sister-in-laws Charlotte and Beverly Davis. James was a graduate of Peabody Highschool, then shortly joined the Army in 1969 where he served for 2 1/2 years, and was honorably discharged. Over his lifetime James was a loyal and valuable employee of the United States Post Office, and rana landscaping company with his brother Charles. James leaves behind his wife Valjean Davis, Children: Shevon Stewart, DOnald Davis, Sarafina Davis, and Gerry D'Argan. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren Vashon & Slysia Lee, D'Angelo and Isaiah Stewart, Zakira & Zakari Davis, Ma'rehYah, Anai'Yah & Kennedi. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces. James has been a longtime member of the Salvation Army Homewood-Brushton where he enjoyed leading Sunday school every Sunday. He enjoyed working with his hands and always made sure his family was taken care of. James has had such an impact on everyone he came in contact with, and will truly be missed.
