Jacqueline Hill (Mommy) was an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She was one of a kind, a real angel who was the full embodiment of unconditional love and the epitome of the Proverbs 31 woman. She made a lasting impact on the lives of all who knew her as she shared endlessly and unselfishly the abundance of her kindness, gentleness, love and generosity.
On November 25, 1942, Jacqueline was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to the late Thomas C. Floyd and Grace Lucille Philson. She graduated from Fifth Avenue High School (Hill District) and retired from Allegheny Ludlum (Pittsburgh) as an accounts payable manager. She enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking and most of all spending time with her family.
On October 4, 1975, Jacqueline was united in holy matrimony to James C. Hill. There is a total of (4) surviving children and (1) deceased.
Jacqueline faithfully served in ministry for years with her late husband, James C. Hill. To many, she was a spiritual mother, a spiritual leader and the ultimate role model in every sense of the word. As an ordained missionary and evangelist, she fervently spread the gospel while leading countless individuals in building and renewing their Faith in Jesus Christ. Her calling in ministry was directed towards building strong marriages and families in the communities she served. As such, her dedication, commitment and desire to see lives restored, uplifted and changed, remained steadfast, and was a source of great reward.
To Jacqueline, family was everything…it was her life. As the Matriarch, she proudly, boldly and successfully led her family with courage, strength, wisdom, humility, grace and God’s word. She took great pleasure and delight in giving gifts, showing unexpected acts of kindness, and making others feel super special. Jacqueline was an extraordinary gift from God whose touch – was so gentle, whose words – were so kind, whose love – was so pure, whose smile – was so bright, whose heart – was so big.
In the comfort of her home and with her daughter (Jeanean), and grandchildren (Ginger and Austin) surrounding her with love, Jacqueline peacefully transitioned from life on earth to her eternal home in Heaven on February 3, 2025. After living an amazing, beautiful and blessed life of eighty-two years, she has been welcomed into Heaven and has finally heard, “Well done thy good and faithful servant”.
Fully healed and reunited with her husband, Jacqueline leaves a powerful legacy of love and servitude unto God and her family that will forever be remembered.
