Izora Fortson Obituary

Izora Lynne Fortson was born on April 7, 1965, to Luvenia Fortson at J C Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntington, PA. She was raised in Mt. Union, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Mt. Union High school where she was a cheerleader, played the flute, and was known as the class clown. She later attended and graduated from South Hills Business school in State College, PA and also received her CNA certification from Manor Care in Pittsburgh, PA.

Lynne entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 22, 2021, at her home in McKeesport, PA. She worked at Concordia as a CNA where she loved taking care of her patients. She truly enjoyed being a caregiver.

Lynnie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age. She left her footprints on the heart of everyone she encountered. Her spirit was unselfish, her character was unmatched, and her purpose was unwavering. She made a positive difference in all those who loved and knew her. She loved life, her family, and friends. She had a special bond with each of her children that is unbreakable and transcends time forever. She was the life of the party, and after spending time with her you would be laughing. She was the glue that held the family together. She was inseparable with her siblings. She always told her kids she loved them bigger than the sky.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her mother, Luvenia Fortson, long-time companion, Donald Jefferson, her children: Ashkia Helton, Lachelle Jefferson, Shayla Jefferson, Jazzelle Jefferson, Deonta Fortson, and Najai Fortson, who was her niece but was more like her daughter. Her siblings: Maurice Fortson, preceded in death, Charlene "Nay Nay" Fortson (Gordon), Keith Fortson (Debbie), Kimberly Hatfield, Rodney Hatfield (Sharele), Craig Hatfield, and Chetie Trice. She is survived by 11 grandchildren along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Lynne will truly be missed by all.
