Irene M Cowan

Irene M Cowan peacefully transitioned to glory on January 10th, 2021 at Oakmont Center Nursing Home in Oakmont, PA. She was born on July 25th, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William Johnson and Eleanor Aldred. She was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from South Hills High School in 1955. She was employed at various businesses such as TWA, Bell Telephone and the U.S. Post Office, yet she was particularly proud of her position as a Pastor at Covenant Church of Pittsburgh where she was a member for over 40 years. Irene was preceded by Lee S. Cowan Jr. and is survived by her 12 children, 23 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. A memorial service will be postponed until further notice due to the COVID pandemic.
