Ibraheem "IBBY" Ghafoor

Ibraheem “Ibby” Ghafoor was born on June 4, 1938, to the late Abdul “Baba” Ghafoor and Leslie “Amatul” Ghafoor. A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was educated in the city’s school system before proudly serving four years in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Ibraheem pursued his passion for real estate, enrolling in Real Estate Sales and Real Estate Appraisal courses. At just 26 years old, he became a licensed Real Estate Broker, a remarkable achievement that paved the way for his lifelong career. He went on to establish the Ghafoor Realty Company, which he successfully owned and operated for 60 years, leaving a lasting impact on the industry and those he served. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ibraheem had an enduring love for golf. A dedicated member of the Garfield Grunkles Golf Club, he found great joy on the green, building lasting friendships along the way. He played for many years, only stepping away when his health no longer allowed. His love for both real estate and golf defined much of his life, bringing him fulfillment and purpose. On March 8, 1991, he married the love of his life, Delores Ghafoor, and together, they shared a beautiful journey of love, partnership, and cherished memories. On February 27, 2025, Ibraheem passed away peacefully at Canterbury Hospice Center. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, perseverance, and love. He is survived by his beloved siblings, Talib Ghafoor and Malika Robinson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Ibraheem “Ibby” Ghafoor will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
