Howard Sylvester Saunders was born on April 29, 1925, in Donora, PA. He was the son born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Eva Saunders. In 1940, Howard Sylvester Saunders attended and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1943 Donora High School in Donora, Pennsylvania. Shortly after High School, Howard was drafted into the Army on August 20, 1943 where he served and did an outstanding service for his country, until he was Honorably Discharged on February 1, 1946; as a Specialist 4 or T/4.
Howard was employed at the Steel Mill in Donora, upon returning from War World II. When the Steel Mill closed, he moved to Pittsburgh, where he worked for the Homestead Mill, then the Pittsburgh Housing Authority. He and his beautiful precious dear Wife Joyce met while he was employed by the Housing Authority. He departed this life on January 23, 2025. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, brothers, and a host of other relatives.
Howard's cherished memories are left to reside in his beautiful wonderful precious dear wife, Joyce. In addition to his cherished great grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives. May God continue to bless all your beautiful families and keep you all. With enjoying a wonderful commodity which comes from the Almighty Lord, Time. Time comes from God and is a true blessing.
