Howard Randolph, Jr. of Wilkinsburg, PA, departed this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Howard was born October 30, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Howard Randolph, Sr. and Margaret Carter Randolph. To his family, Howard was affectionately known as Junior. Junior grew up as the fourth of six siblings in an energetic household, raised alongside a close-knit family near his grandmothers and cousins.

Howard was educated locally, graduating from Wilkinsburg High School before going on to earn an Associate in Arts degree from Robert Morris College. Dedicated to lifelong learning and adaptation, he later completed Modern Office Systems Training at the Community College of Allegheny County, where he earned a professional certificate.

Throughout his life, Howard was a versatile and industrious provider who brought a strong work ethic to a wide variety of industries. He began his professional path serving as an audit assistant for the Internal Revenue Service and later spent over a decade working as a power plant pipefitter for Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Showing his adaptability, Howard also worked as a licensed insurance agent for The Prudential Insurance Company and spent years as a Georg operator programming machinery for Cooper Power Systems. Later in his career, he coordinated transportation logistics as a dispatcher for Randolph Airport Transportation Service and completed a training assignment with the AARP Foundation. Most recently, Howard served his community with pride and dedication as a school van driver for A.J. Myers & Sons, Inc.

To his children, he was "Daddy" or "Dad," a constant and fierce supporter through every single milestone, from graduations and new jobs to moving into new homes. He loved bringing joy to his family, faithfully planning annual outings to see the Harlem Globetrotters, the circus, and professional wrestling, alongside beautiful family vacations from Disney to Virginia Beach. He deeply cared about exposing his children to the very best things the world had to offer, while wisely guiding them using the lessons and challenges he observed during his own youth.

As "GrandDad" to his three grandchildren, Howard IV, Taylor, and Layla, his pride knew no bounds. GrandDad was legendary for his home-cooked pancakes and brownies, always making sure his grandkids were well-fed. He even enthusiastically jumped on the Chipotle bandwagon just because they loved it. GrandDad was fiercely attentive to their needs, constantly looking out for them by buying clothes, shoes, and coats, and he was always ready on Christmas and birthdays with cash gifts so they could pick out exactly what they wanted.

Junior was preceded in death by his brothers Merle Carter, and Eugene Isacc Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory Rev. Diane Curry Randolph (former wife), Cecily Dyan Davis (Eldest Child/Daughter), Howard Jamar Randolph III (Son), Vanessa Camille Randolph (Daughter), Jermaine Loron Davis (Son-in-Law), Howard Leonard Randolph, IV (Eldest Grandchild/Grandson), Taylor Diane Mattie Davis, Layla Love Randolph, and his surviving sisters Gloria Carter-Moore, Joyce Ann Taylor and Kimberly Randolph, alongside a host of extended family and friends.
