In the early hours of November 16, 2022, Henry William Smith was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. Henry was born on August 25, 1939, to the late Langston and mary E. Smith in Petersburg, Virginia.
As a small boy, he and his family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he attended school in the Penn Hills School District. Henry was known as a "Jack-of-All-Trades" and was very talented in masonry work. Henry was employed by the Pittsburgh Public School District and was promoted to Chief Electrician.
His first marriage to Carol Anderson was blessed with the birth of a son, Hennry Smith, Jr. By the end of the 60s and following the end of his first marriage, Henry met and fell deeply in love with the love of his life, Laurencine White. From this union, he gained Lawrence White (Karen), Raymond Boea (Alene), Eric Boea; and they had two daughters: the late Laurencine and Runai Smith. In the 80's they added a granddaughter, Cynthia Barnhart (James), whom he raised as their own daughter. After the death of his wife Laurencine, Henry married Ada Rained Smith.
Henry Smith was a devoted follower of the Lord, spending many days witnessing to souls in the downtown area of Pittsburgh or spending hours reading the Bible. In the '70s and '80s, he was a member of Lincoln Avenue Church of God, where he was an active member of the choir. Later in life, he joined the fellowship of Mount Ararat Baptist Church, where he was an active member of the Male Chorus. His greatest desire was for his family and those around him to find the Lord. Henry never met anyone he didn't greet as, Friend or Buddy".
Henry was devoted to his family and throughout his years, created lifetime memories of a deeply personal relationship with God, sharing kindness and words of wisdom with everyone. Henry often spent his free time helping anyone in need.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Langston and Mary E. Smith; his wife, Laurencine Smith; daughter, Lawrencine; and his siblings: Geraldine Sander, Lee "Mickie" Smith, Katherine Malloy, Josephine Harden, Juanita Smith, Maxine Harvey, and Langston "Bean" Smith.

Ford; grandchildren; Raymond and Trinity Anthony, as well as 17 others; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
