Goldie V. Jones

Goldie "Dolly" Jones beloved resident of Monroeville Pennsylvania unexpectedly passed away on the early morning of January 22, 2025. Goldie, known to most as "Dolly" was born on April 1, 1938, to the late, Jacob Settles Sr. and Evelyn Fry Settles in Brownsville Pennsylvania. Dolly attended Redstone High School where she received her High School Diploma.

Dolly moved to Pittsburgh in the late 50's where she met and married the late Jesse Robert Booker III. Jesse and Dolly gave birth to three beautiful children, Edith Denise, Jesse Robert the IV, Andrea Colleen.

Dolly had an infectious smile and a golden spirit and a bonus fondness dressing for success. Dolly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, her favorite pastime, including bingo and attending the adult playground a.k.a. Rivers Casino.

Dolly was married to her husband Roy Jones on December 23, 1979. She went on to spend many years with him volunteering for Wilkinsburg Athletic n Association and traveling the world. She was preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn, Belinda, Nina, and Charlotte, brothers Jacob "Freddie", Jack Nelson, Richard "Huck", and Robert.

Dolly's love for life and peace will forever leave marks on the hearts of the family she leaves behind. Left to mourn Goldie "Dolly" Jones , her husband Roy Jones, children Edith Denise, Jesse Robert IV, Andrea Colleen, her seven grandchildren, her fifteen great grandchildren, her two sisters, Donna, Darlene, and brother Albert "Lawrence" and a host of family and friends.
