Gene Brown Porter was born on March 19, 1933, in New Kensington,
PA. She was the beautiful daughter of the late Benjamin and Elzora
Brown. She was educated at the New Kensington School System and
graduated from New Kensington High School in 1951.
She was married to Thomas Pryor and to this union one child, Tracey
was born. She was married to Aaron L. Porter for 41 years. Gene
began her journey with Christ at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in New
Kensington, PA where she was baptized at a young age. She was a
member of the Brushton United Methodist Church for many years.
Later she joined her family at Bethany Baptist Church where she
served as a cook for the Masters Kitchen, and she was a member of
the Bethany Baptist Grief Group.
Gene enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with the ones she
loved the most her family. Her kind and unselfish nature are a true
testament to the Christian woman she was.
Gene Brown Porter passed into the presence of the Lord on Sunday,
August 18, 3034. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin
and Elzora Brown; three brothers, three sister and her husband
Aaron L. Porter.
She leaves her daughter Tracey Jasper, son-in-law, Loyal M. Jasper
Jr.; two grandchildren, Loyal M. Jasper III, Gerell R. Jasper, one
sister, Dorothy Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and
friends to cherish her memory.
