Frederick Douglass Baker was born in the Greenfield area of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, November 7th, 1944. Born the fifth child to the late Edward and Julia Baker.
Federick was respectfully known as "Fred" or "Freddie" to his family and friends.
Always wanting to be his own boss, Fred started his own dog grooming business in his early years. His love for horses led him to country living. He bred horses while in his spare time enjoyed fishing and horseback riding farm. Fred was a family man who loved to share stories. Fred had a passion for music of all genres (R&B, Blues, Country and Rap to name a few), which became a bonus when it came time to sing karaoke. Fred also found great pleasure in going to the casino, dog races, and amusement parks.
During his later days Fred was diagnosed with cancer. He battled the disease until the Lord called him home on March 7th, 2020.
Fred leaves to mourn and cherish his memories Sisters: Joyce Harris (Louis), BettyDiggs, Johanna Coles, Rebecca Davis, Brothers: Edward Baker, Wallace Baker, and Neal Holt( Honorary). Children : Kimberly Baker, Frederick Baker Jr., Frederick Baker (Darcel), Frederick Collins, Sherry Baker, Sharnitta Baker, Sierra Baker and Savannah Baker. Twenty-Five Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren. A dear friend Juanda Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends.
Fred will truly be missed by them all
