Eva Lavern Wilson of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania was born October 2, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the 2nd eldest of eleven children born to the late Elizabeth and Howard Lee. Eva gained her wings and went to rest with the Lord on September 12, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of "1000" years: Donald (Beano) Wilson and three brothers, Howard, Travis, and Charles Lee.
Eva was educated in the Catholic School System. She lived most of her life in Garfield Heights where she met and married her first love Donal (Beano) Wilson. To this union, three daughters were born.
Eva will always be remembered for her loving, compassionate heart and her willingness to give. After the death of her mother, at the young age of twenty-two, she and Beano took guardianship of her younger siblings. She was an iconic housewife and mother whose door was always open. She loved to entertain, and relatives and friends constantly gathered at 505 Wicklow Street. She welcomed them with her warm affectionate laugh and offered them a home-cooked meal, a place to sleep, or whatever they needed at the time. Her life mission was to take care of the children. She always made sure the children had what they needed. Even after dementia set in and her memory lapsed, mentally, at age 89, she was still taking care of "the kids" as she called them.
As we close on this day, Eva is being remembered, cherished, and loved by her daughters; Donna Logan (George), Deborah Jones (Jeffrey), and Nina Wilson; six grandchildren, George Logan II, Tami Pritchard, Trina Logan, Tasha Whiting, Markus Wilson and Brandon Miller; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers; four sisters; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
