Ella (Goodwin) Weldon

Ella Louise Goodwin was born to the late Sarah M. Goodwin and Willie Lewis on February 21, 1945, in Pittsburgh, PA. Ella departed this life peacefully surrounded by her family to her new heavenly home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Louise as she was affectionally known attended the Pittsburgh Public Schools System. Louise who mostly lived and raised her children in the Hill District was a wonderful homemaker and very skillful in sewing, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed shopping, exercising, and spending time with her family. She was baptized at Good Smartian Missionary Baptist Church on January 20, 1985. Louise worked at John Kane Regional Hospital in the Custodian Department, where she met the love of her life Mr. Ophie Weldon Sr., they were married in 1989. She also worked as a Home Health Worker. Preceding Louise in death were her parents, Sarah M. Goodwin, Willie Lewis, her husband, Ophie Weldon Sr., brothers, Joseph F. Goodwin, and Christopher N. Goodwin. Louise leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Celestine Goodwin and son Warnie Goodwin (Mia), 3 granddaughters, Tyleda Goodwin Worou (Caleb), TaKeena White, Teevou Goodwin, 1 grandson, Malik Russell. Great grands Jamar, Tyric, Peyton, Ke’Yon, Olivia, and Teagan. 1 sister n law, Sharon Goodwin. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Louise will be deeply missed by family and friends.
