Dwayne Tillman was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 23, 1970. He was the son of Joann Huerta and the late Odell Tillman.
Dwayne attended the West Gate High School. After graduation, he moved to Danville, III, with his parents. However, in 1991 Dwayne returned to Pittsburgh and attended a trade school majoring in Operation Engineering.
In 1991, he met Ann Williams-Tillman, and as their relationship blossomed, they were soon married in the year 2000. Through this union they together raised, three beautiful daughters, Taija, Taneka, Tyann, ( his three monkeys- smile). Dwayne was a fantastic father and husband. He loved and adored his children and there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. He taught them how to live, have an abundant life, and always remember that their happiness came first. Despite Dwayne and Ann parting ways, they remained friends and most importantly great parents.
Dwayne was employed at the Local 66 Union and worked there for many years. He enjoyed Jitneying, washing his cars, skating, and fishing. He loved the water so much that he returned to school, gained his Merchant Marine Credentials, and became a Captain. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team the Jaguars.
In 2015, Dwayna met his Fiance Darnella Addison (Bobby Jo). They connected in love and the two decided that they would soon marry and begin their lives as one.
On August 16, 2023, Dwayna departed this life. He was preceded in death by his Father; his brother, Cardell Tillman; and sister, Marithia Tillman.
He leaves cherished memories to his children, Taija Tillman, Taneka Hardin, and Tyann Jackson; grandchildren, Nakiyah, Donshae, Nadaijah, Kyann, Laloni; mother, Joanne Huerta; brother, Tyrone Huerta; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
