Donna Jean Jones

DonnaJean Jones was born May 16th, 1955, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to the late Leso Jones Sr. and Phyllis Josephine Jones. Donna whom everyone affectionately called “Jeannie” was the 6th of 8 children. Jeannie was proceeded in death by Leso Jones Jr. Gary Robert Jones, Sharon Witherspoon, and Clarence “Chipper” Jones. She leaves to mourn her loving daughter Latisha Jones, granddaughter Taleisha Donna Jean Jones, 2 Sisters, CarolAnn Alston and LindaJo Jones, and 1 brother Darwin Allen Jones. (Tara) .She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Donna Jean “Jeannie” attended and graduated from Penn Hills Senior high school in 1974. After graduating she furthered her education by attending the Sawyer School of Business where she received an associate degree and became a secretary for many years. She was very passionate about caring for people. Therefore, she decided to continue her education by attending the Community College of Allegheny County where she received her 2nd degree in Social work. Prior to becoming disabled, she worked as a supervisor for a Residential Care facility.

Jeannie was a die-hard Steeler fan, she never missed a game. She hosted the best Steeler parties. Not only did she enjoy her Steelers she also enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her family. She was like a grandmother to many however she adored her only granddaughter Taleisha the most. She may not be with us physically, but her spirit truly lives on through the lives of her family and friends.
