Dolores Ivy Johnson, affectionately known as "Ivy”, "Tex", and "Dee" was born on September 4, 1940, to the late Joseph Jones and Dorothy Crump. She made her transition on June 27, 2022, at her home in Pittsburgh, Pa surrounded by her loving family. Dee attended the Pittsburgh Public School district and graduated from Schenley High School in 1958. She always had a love for sports and was known to bleed Black and Gold! Her Steelers came second to none! She was known in Schenley as "Tex" because she was so fast while running track. Dee also participated in tennis, and various social clubs, travel clubs, and activities, and loved to travel with her family and friends. She was no stranger Dee was devoted to numerous churches and accepted Jesus Christ as her Holy Savior joining her family members that proceeded in death, father and mother, Dorothy Crump and Joseph Jones. Dee worked at Port Authority and retired from US Steel Tower in downtown Pittsburgh. She loved dancing, hanging with her friends, traveling with her family, and loving on her family. Dee is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Hester, Shirley Johnson, and Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, Ciarra Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Shay Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Ernest Hester Jr. Taylor Bailey, Adeena Bailey, and James Bailey IV; seven great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Joseph Jones, and Leslie Jones. Dee was always willing to lend a kind ear to friends, family, and strangers. She loved to dance and was fluent in the dances of her time, including "swing dancing", "fast dancing”, and "Line Dancing". She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family, she was the best Grammy in the world to her grandchildren/great-grandchildren. Anytime Dee was needed, she was there! She was an amazing mother to her three daughters, and always raised her girls to be ambitious, driven, and goal-oriented. She always had the shoulder to cry on, as well. Dee would always say, "Everything will be alright, honey" and hit you with the most beautiful smile to follow. She had a heart of gold and a glow to her that made you feel so comfortable in her presence. Dee was an amazing woman that will truly be missed
