Dewan Watkins

    Dewan L. Watkins Sr. was born in Pittsburgh PA on June 19, 1979. He was the last child to John Thomas Jr. and JoAnne E. Watkins.

    Dewan also affectionately known as "Hip Hop" was a soldier of the Hill District. He attended The Pittsburgh Public School System. Dewan was known for his smile which could light up any room. His favorite past time was laughing and joking with family and friends. Dewan departed this life on January 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by parents John Thomas Jr., and JoAnne.

    Dewan's memory will be cherished by his fiancee Jennifer Jankowski and his children; Breyonna Lewis, Janiya Watkins, Unique Brown-Watkins, Dewan Watkins Jr., Nathan Janowski; two grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Johnetta L. Shelton, Nicole M. Smith, and Corinn J. Glaze (Ronald), and one brother Steven L. Smith (Ronelle) along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
