Deborah Denise Brice was born on August 20, 1949, to James and June Brice. She was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System and proudly graduated from Schenley high School in 1967. Shortly after graduation, Deborah began her career at West Penn Hospital. In 1969, she accepted a position with Bell Telephone, where she displayed excellence and commitment. Her strong work ethic and reliability earned her respect throughout her career. In 1976, Deborah expanded her service by joining the United States Army Reserves. She continued working with the phone company, which later became AT&T, until her well-deserved retirement in 1996.
Debbie, as she was affectionately called, was known for her generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need. Her kindness and compassion touched many lives. She had a deep love for animals- especially cats- and could always be counted on to provide care and affection for them. Debbie was a dependable, loyal, and caring woman whose presence brought comfort to those around her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Shauna Staten; her devoted sisters, Jane Brice and Beverly Clark; her beloved grandchildren, Shaun, Shain, Jamee, Amaree, and Lil Dj; her niece Vivian Wilson; and her nephew Vidal Davis.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Brice.
Debbie's legacy of love, service, and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
