Daryle William Allen

Daryle William Allen, Sr. passed away surrounded by loved ones on June 5, 2022. He was born on September 26, 1949, to the late Charles W. and Nettie P. Allen in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Left to treasure his memory is his devoted wife of over 31 years, Blenda “Lindie” Allen; his sister Donalda Allen Booker, and his brother Charles W. Allen (Barbara). He is also survived by his loving children Daryle Allen, II; Dion Allen (Lisa); Dannae Allen; and Brett Allen in addition to 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. After graduating from Fifth Avenue High School in 1967, Daryle served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1972. He was employed by the Department of Defense for 35 years. Daryle became an active member of St. James AME Church where he enjoyed singing in the Senior and the Men’s Choirs as well as serving on the Trustee Board. Daryle delighted in photography, sports, music (jazz, gospel, and old school rhythm and blues), and spending jovial times with friends and family. Those who knew him well appreciated his great sense of humor. He certainly was loved and respected.
