Darwin Alan (Sr) Jones

Darwin Alan Jones Sr. was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 3, 1953, at the Pittsburgh Hospital to the late Leso Jones Sr. and Phyllis Josephine Jones. He was the 5th of 8 children and became a legend while being raised in Lincoln Park.

Darwin attended Penn Hills High School where he ran track and broke many records. In June of 1972, he graduated, he began working for Sears and Roebucks.

Darwin enlisted in the United States Marines. On October 24, 1978, he met and married the love of his life Tara Miller.

He worked for the Pittsburgh Public Parking for 15 years and retired from Mellon Bank in 2012, all while breeding German Shepard dogs throughout his career.

Darwin used to love riding motorcycles and was a protective, hardworking, provider for his family. He was a jack of all trades, an animal lover, and valued everyone. At every family function, he loved playing with all the kids and cursing out all the adults and didn't play about his Scooby!

Known to his friends as "Dj", he valued hunting and fishing with them every Saturday. He was the most loving and caring person you could meet, whether it was someone meeting him for the first time or someone who knew him for a lifetime.

Darwin Alan Jones gained his wings in peace on September 13, 2023.

Darwin was a loving husband, son, brother, father, uncle, and grandad who was truly loved and missed.
