Darrick Irving Falls, Jr. was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on February 23, 1983. He was the son of Darrick Irving Falls, Sr. and Tina Rosemary Falls.
Darrick attended A. Leo Weil Elementary School (Hill District), Prospect Junior High School (Mt. Washington), Brashear High School (Beechview), and Westinghouse High School (Homewood). Fondly known as "D-Man," he was all about sports and was a wrestler and enjoyed competing against other schools.
One of Darrick's most memorable qualities was his great sense of humor. He could always make you laugh, lifting the spirits of those around him with his quick wit and playful personality. Darrick was a man of immense love and loyalty, especially when it came to his family. His parents and his three brothers and four sisters were not just relatives- they were his most precious jewels. They could always count on him for a helping hand, a word of encouragement and being their protector. He valued his quality time with his nieces and nephews and treated them with love as if they were his own children. He had a zest for life and was known for his warm personality and was the type of person who brought people together. Whether it was family gatherings or time spent with friends, Darrick was always at the center of things, ensuring everyone had a good time.
Despite facing significant health challenges, Darrick was a determined young man with an unwavering passion for life. He never allowed his setbacks to define him, embracing each day with optimism and perseverance.
His health struggles did not hold him back from living fully and enjoying the moments that mattered most. Darrick's resilience and positive attitude were an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
His legacy is one of strength, joy, and love, which continues to touch the lives of his family, friends, and the community he cherished.
On Saturday, October 5, 2024, Darrick departed this life for life eternal with God. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Don'ye Falls; grandmothers, Rita Adams and Wandra Austin; uncle, Theodore Falls; and cousin Vanessa Hanner.
Darrick leaves cherished memories to his father, Darrick Irving Falls, Sr.; mother, Tina R. (Maurice Rice) Falls; brothers, Eric Falls, Marcus Falls, and Alfonzo Farrish; sisters, Christina (Greg) Morran, Nandi Falls, Darla (James) Godbolt, and Monae Farrish; nieces and nephews, Shakyna, Ma'Calia, Cali, Marcus Jr., Christianna, Isabella, Heaven, Kaylan, James III, Anthony, Tyson, Devin, Cimani; uncles, Shawn Falls and Frank Falls; aunts, Stephanie Martin and Venerva Boyd and Cynthia Adams; longtime partner, Brittany Parker; godmothers, Helen Stallworth and Delisa Allen; and a host of many cousins, very very close friends and the Farrish Family who were an intricate part of his life.
