Crystal Arrington - Shipmon Obituary

Crystal Mone’ Arrington-Shipmon went home to be with THE CREATOR OF ALL THERE WAS, IS and EVER SHALL BE, early Sunday morning February 25, 2024. Crystal was found abandoned on the corner of Beaver and Evans in McKeesport, PA. Crystal was pronounced dead at UPMC McKeesport Hospital Emergency Room, where hospital staff was unable to restart her heart. She died with no family or friends around her.

Crystal Mone’ Arrington-Shipmon, was born on July 13, 1995 at Magee Woman’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA to Carmen Leigh Arrington, from South Oakland, Pittsburgh and John K Shipmon of Manchester, Pittsburgh.

Crystal was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Phillip W Arrington and Audrey M. Arrington; paternal grandparents John K. Shipmon Sr and Cherrie Shipmon. She leaves to mourn her passing away to GLORY her Mother, Carmen Leigh Arrington; Father, John K. Shipmon; Daughter, Isabella Baus; Son, Louiss Suber; Brothers Robert and Errick Arrington, John K. Shipmon Jr; Sisters Tanisha Manning and Sinurae Parker and a host of Aunts, Uncles,

Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

Crystal was different. She came into this world differently. She lived her life differently. She wasn’t a person that obtained a diploma or formal higher educational degree, but she was highly intelligent. She held knowledge that cannot be found in books and formal classrooms. Crystal lived in many different neighborhoods of Pittsburgh and its surrounding regions.

From birth to 6 years of age, where she grew into a beautiful little girl, she lived with her parents and brothers Robert and Errick on Lenora Street in East Liberty. Her parents first returned her to THE CREATOR shortly after her birth at Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church in the Homewood area of Pittsburgh and she was baptized there at the early age of 5. She attended Sunday School and Bible Studies regularly as a child and was referred about as having more Biblical knowledge than even the teenage classes and that had been attending for years.

For a few years, she lived with her maternal grandparents on Gorman Way in South Oakland, Pittsburgh. When she left Oakland, she stayed with her father in Rankin, PA. After that she lived with her Mother and two brothers Robert and Errick, in Clairton, PA.

Her early teenage years were spent living in East Pittsburgh and North Versailles, PA. Crystal left Pennsylvania with her mother and little brother in 2011 and lived in Alabama amongst her Southern Family and the friends she made there, until they returned to Pittsburgh in 2013 and lived on Frankstown Road in Penn Hills, PA, returning to the family home in South Oakland until 2017.

Crystal was a force to be reckoned with. She was a mover and a shaker. Crystal touched the hearts of so many people. She stayed on the GO. She kept saying she couldn’t stay still…, she had to find her FAMILY. In her short 28 years, she covered alot of ground seeking and finding HER FAMILY.

Crystal was UNIQUE. You CAN”T find anyone else like her!
