Mr.Clemon Casteel, the son of John and Katie Casteel was born September 25, 1937 in Amsterdam, GA. He was affectionately known as “Blood” to family and friends. He entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2019 at Highland Park Care Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Clemon was a United States veteran with his time served in the Naval Branch.
After being honorably discharged, he decided that he would obtain his barber’s license. He cut hair for a number of years before he became a bus driver for Port Authority where he retired. Clemon loved to cook and sing. There was rarely a time when he wasn’t doing one or the other. He was quite the singer, so much so that he was asked to sing with Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers.
His loving memories will be cherished by his daughters Mrs.Darlene Casteel-Osborne, 2 grandchildren Kendall Casteel and Sheldon Osborne, sisters Ms.Marjorie Singletary and Ms.Lee Curgess as well as a host of family and friends.
