Claude Fluker

Claude Fluker, Jr. was born on July 15, 1950, to Claude Fluker, Sr. and Lillie Mae Fluker. He was the second of seven children. Claude passed away unexpectedly on June 10, 2026. 

Affectionately known as “Claudie” by family and friends, he was raised in West Newton, Pennsylvania, where he attended local schools. Following his graduation from high school, Claudie pursued higher education at Penn State University, earning a degree in engineering. He later moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he enjoyed a long and distinguished career with Ameritech, serving as a dependable and dedicated employee for many years. 

After the passing of his beloved wife, Sharon Fluker, Claudie eventually returned to Pennsylvania and made his home in Pittsburgh. 

In recent years, Claudie developed a deep interest in God’s Word, the Bible. He began studying the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses and regularly attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall. His faith became an important part of his life. 

Claudie treasured time spent with family and especially enjoyed family gatherings and cookouts. He often made the trip from Michigan to Pittsburgh to be with loved ones and create lasting memories. He also enjoyed bowling, bicycling, football, and baseball, and was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates. 

Claudie was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Fluker, Sr. and Lillie Mae Fluker; his brother, Jonathan Fluker; his sister, Michal Guest. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his stepdaughter, Danielle; step granddaughter Semaj; step grandson, Dominic; his brothers, Gary (Joyce) and Howard his sisters; Adrienne and Leslie (Lloyd); sister-in-law Mildred Fluker; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his presence. 

Claudie will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, love for family, and the kindness he extended to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
