Christine was born on October 23, 1928, to Mother, Bessie (Jefferson) Kemp and Father, Maurice Allen. At a very young age, her mother married George Kemp, who was a loving and devoted step-father. (All who preceded her in death.) On June 12, 2025, the heavenly gates opened to Christine, and she peacefully walked into the loving arms of God.
She was joined in marriage to Robert Brown and gave birth for four children. Later in life, following Robert's passing, Christine married Rogers Tice.
Christine received her education through the Pittsburgh Public School System. She graduated from the Harty Bible School of the Christian Tabernacle, was a member of the East End AARP Chapter 4542. She held several jobs prior to retiring from Mine Safety Appliances. She was a proud, long-time member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church and its Senior Missionary Board.
Christine loved traveling with family and friends, also with various organizations i.e. the Black Stars, the Ebony Voyagers, Le'Club of Class, Mt. Ararat Seniors, and many other organizations. In her latter years, she always said, "I am so glad I did all the traveling I wanted to do while I was able."
She was a very strong willed and hardworking individual. Christine leaves to cherish fond memories to her four children- sons: Robert and Richard Brown (Karen) and daughters: Toni Morris (Richard) and Deborah Brown. er memory will also be cherished by her granddaughters: Moneka Brown, Michelle Babbs; grandsons: Richard Martin, Robert Brown (Melanie), Wesley Brown (Latae); 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Barbara Wilmore, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, oldest grandchild: David O. Brosier IV, and siblings- Brothers: George Jr., Robert, Walker, and Raymond Kemp; Sisters: Carol Lee Kemp and Marsha Kemp Sumter.
She will be greatly missed!!!!
