Charmayne Ellen Stubbs-Godfrey was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 7, 1957. She was one of seven children born to the late Walter and Ethel Stubbs.
Charmaybe was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School system and graduated from Westinghouse High School. She furthered her education by attending the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC).
As a child, she attended Refuge Temple Church of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. She loved the Lord and served him with all of her heart.
