Charlotte Darlene Davis

Charlotte Darlene Davis was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to the late Charlet Roala Winfrey and James Reid.
At an early age, Charlotte was baptized at the Church of our Savior in Northview Heights.
She learned that with prayer and faith all things are possible. Charlotte or (Doll)as she was affectionately called always found a new church home wherever she lived.
Charlotte was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School system. She enjoyed academics
but was especially gifted in sports such as baseball, swimming, skating, etc. Charlotte was always adventurous without fear. On her very first visit to the neighborhood pool she decided to jump off of the diving board into the deep end. She just surfaced to the top and began to swim on her own.
After high school, Charlotte joined the military. Upon returning to Pittsburgh she relocated to Florida where she met her husband Arthur Davis. They moved to his hometown Memphis Tennessee.
12 years ago Charlotte relocated back to Pittsburgh for health reasons, to be closer to family, and to receive the quality care necessary. Being back in Pittsburgh Charlotte was reconnected to her favorite Aunt Betty who throughout her life gave her nothing but support and love.
The family would like to acknowledge her cousin Herman lee Drawn with a very special heartfelt thank you for all your devoted support and tireless hours making sure she was well and taken care of.
Charlotte departed this life on Tuesday, June 6th, 2022
She was known for being a fighter, never giving up, and always making everyone in her company smile.
Charlotte is survived by her three brothers William Greenlee of Las Vegas, Nevada
Izear Winfrey and the late James Reid Jr.'s sister-in-law Trinnia Greenlee; four nephews
Jordan, Jade, Julian, and Jory Greenlee. Seven great-nieces and nephews. Extended family members and a host of many friends.
