Charles Alan Sloan (Chuck) of Donora, Pa., went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2025, at Penn Highlands Hospital. He was born on November 10, 1955, to the late Charles Sloan Jr. and Audrey L. Carter Sloan. He was the firstborn of six to this union.
Chuck was a graduate of Ringgold Donora Campus Class of 1975. After high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy. He was employed by Corning Glass of Charleroi, Pa. for more than 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 212, American Croatian Citizens Club in Donora, and a faithful member of the New Vision Christian Tabernacle.
Chuck loved to spend time with his family and travel whenever he had the ability. Even though his health issues created obstacles, he continued to press on. Chuck was preceded in death by his sister Armeda Joy Sloan Riley and Kerri Lorie Sloan.
He is survived by Brothers, Rev. George D. (Toni) Sloan of Seneca, S.C., and Walter JJ (Paula ) Sloan of Mesa, Arizona, and sister, Kathy (Michael) Crable of Fort Worth, Tx. Uncles Dwight (Brenda) Sloan of San Diego, California, and Stanford (Lucille)Sloan of Ambler, Pa., Aunt Annie Sloan of San Leandro, California, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
