Charles Robinson, Jr. Obituary

Charles Anthony Robinson, age 46, of Penn Hills, passed away on June 14, 2026. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. His life will be remembered with love, gratitude, laughter, and deep affection by all who knew him.

Charles was born on September 25, 1979, to Audrey Elaine Robinson (Goodson) and Charles Anthony Robinson. From an early age, Charles was known for his fun-loving spirit, his humor, his curiosity, and his deep desire to understand the world around him. He was free-spirited, inquisitive, and always exploring… whether it was people, plants, remedies, ideas, or life itself.

Charles graduated from Penn Hills High School and went on to become a painter by trade. He was a master painter, gifted with a creative eye, a steady hand, and a deep sense of care for his craft. Through his work, he brought beauty, skill, and craftsmanship into the spaces he touched.

To those who loved him, Charles was many things. He was funny, thoughtful, creative, talkative and deeply caring. He loved his family and had a special way of keeping people connected. He cared deeply for those who needed help and often offered comfort, advice, and encouragement in his own unique way. Affectionately known by his cousin Chauncie as “Reverend Deacon Doctor Chuck,” Charles had a presence that made people feel welcomed, cared for, and loved.

Charles had many passions and interests. He enjoyed cooking, cars, gardening, travelling, fashion, video games, movies, and researching plants and natural remedies. He was a foodie, a thinker, a creator, and an explorer at heart. Whether he was sharing a story, making someone laugh, learning something new, creating with his hands, or spending time with family, Charles brought his own unmistakable personality and spirit into every space he entered.

To his family, Charles was more than words can fully express. He was a loving son, a cherished brother, a proud uncle, a caring nephew and cousin, and a loyal friend. He created memories that will continue to live in the hearts of those closest to him.

Charles is survived by his parents, Audrey Elaine Robinson (Goodson) and Charles Anthony Robinson and his wife Ava; his sisters, Malaya Gamble (Robinson) and her husband Damon, and Monica Henderson (Robinson) and her husband Dennis; his nieces, Denia Henderson, Jacey Henderson, Samara Gamble, and Zuri Henderson; his nephew, Damon Gamble; his aunts, Leila Smith (Goodson) and her husband Rodney, Bonita Jackson (Robinson) and her husband John, Andrea Brown (Robinson) and her husband George, Katherine Drake (Goodson) and her husband Glenn, and Sharon Sinclair (Goodson) and her husband Ronnie; his uncles, Shawn Robinson, Mike Robinson, and Nate Goodson Jr. and his wife Desiree; along with many cousins, extended family members and friends who loved him dearly along with his loyal dog Diesel.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Robinson; his maternal grandparents, Joan and Nathaniel Goodson; his uncle, Donald Owens; and his beloved dog, Sativa.

Though Charles’ time with us was far too short, the impact of his life will remain. His laugh, love, lessons, curiosity, creativity, and unforgettable spirit will continue to guide and comfort those who were blessed to know him.
