Carolyn Patricia Stanfield

Carolyn Patricia Jackson Stanfield, 82, of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 13, 2023.

Carolyn, or as everyone knew her, Patricia or Patty, was born to Henry and Cornelia (Cain) Jackson on May 29, 1941. Patricia grew up in the Homewood area and graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1959. She worked for Mellon Bank as a keypunch operator. 

Patricia married Vernon H. Stanfield on April 27, 1963, and from this union, four children were born. After leaving Mellon Bank, she became a homemaker and started her home daycare for friends and family. She was actively involved at Bethany Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, helped at the church’s summer camp, and worked at the Master’s Kitchen food pantry along with various other activities. 

Patricia was a mother to far more children than her own, as she drove neighborhood kids to and from school and sports, volunteered as a Brownie Troop co-leader for the Girls Scout, and was a Penn Hills Block parent. 

She is preceded in death by both her parents, husband Vernon H. Stanfield, and grandson Chandler Finch. Those left to celebrate her life: sister Janet Green (Elwin), daughters Robin L. Jackson, Rae L. Harris (Augustus), Rikki L. Rowland (Kevin), son Vernon H. Stanfield (Jamilah), son-in-love David Bey (Shevonna), nine grandchildren: Reesha Jackson, Remington Jackson, Shelby Finch, Kevin Rowland, Bryce Rowland, Alana Stanfield, Hana Stanfield, and Zoe Stanfield, and three godchildren: Damon Webb, Raymond Porter Jr., and Tarryn Harris."
