Carl Eugene House was born August 28, 1955, to the late Sam House and the late Leila Cherry-House in Pittsburgh, PA. He departed this life on May 27, 2026, at 4:34 pm. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in life as an adult. He became a member of Bethany Baptist Church and served on the usher board.
Carl Eugene House, known as"Spoke", was married to Beverly Brown in Pittsburgh, PA. They were the parents of Carl House, Jr., and Brenda House. He was also the father of Denise House and the late Derrick Lamar House. He has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carl attended Pittsburgh Public Schools. He worked at Allegheny General Hospital in housekeeping and as an auto mechanic for years. His employment continued until it was prevented by his declining health.
Carl enjoyed going to church and learning about the Lord Jesus Christ. He often said he loved the men's group at church. He talked about how Dr Glaze came to minister to him and other inmates while they were incarcerated. He further spoke about how Brother Ed Booker helped him with the Bible and would take so much time with him.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sam and Leila Cherry-House; son, Derrick Lamar House; grandson Jabree Hines; sister, Virginia Jones; brother, Robert Cherry; sister, Carol Cherry; sister, Sarah Purdom; brother, Sam House; and sister, Eldora House.
He leaves to mourn his son, Carl House, Jr. (Resheda)-Irwin, daughter, Brenda House-Pittsburgh; daughter, Carla Denise House-Pittsburgh; brother, Melvin Cherry (Rebecca)-Pittsburgh; sister, Eunona Newkirk-Topeka, Kansas; Frankie Walker-Pittsburgh; Church Family-Bethany Baptist Church and a host of family members and friends.
