Brian Lamar Jackson, born on January 9, 1980, passed away on July 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family and community.
Brian was the beloved son of Clarence Mitchell Jackson Sr. and Rhonda Patterson Jackson Bennett. He was a cherished brother to Autumn Renee Jackson, Clarence Mitchell Jackson II, C-Man Jackson, Hakeem Jackson, and Ke’shon Jackson. He also shared a brotherly bond with his cousins John Jackson and Jevaughn Jackson, who were raised alongside him as siblings.
Deeply devoted to his nieces and nephews, Brian poured love and support into their lives. He was a proud uncle to Mahkiya Jackson, Mahkayla McBride, A’naea Rankin Jackson, Hunter Gallman Jackson, Daydra Jackson, Jocelyn Renee Jackson, Clarence Mitchell Jackson III, Ja’ray Jackson, Raysean Jackson, Marcellus Jackson, and Marquis Jackson. His nurturing spirit extended to the next generation as well, including his great-niece Mai’onna Jackson and great-nephew Clarence Mitchell Jackson IV.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents Joyce Ann Timbers Patterson, V.W. Patterson, Mary Teasley, and George Jackson; and his aunts Patricia Jackson, Marie Wilson, and Crystal Lynn Patterson.
He leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including five aunts and two uncles, and numerous cousins proudly carrying the family names of Jackson, Patterson, Lighty, Brown, Massey, and Timbers.
A graduate of Penn Hills High School, Class of 1999, Brian went on to earn an associate degree in Pharmaceutical/Medical Technology and became a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA). He was also a graduate of the Brown Institute. Throughout more than a decade in the medical field, Brian was
known for his compassion and dedication to those in his care. Later, he brought that same energy and joy to his role as a school bus driver for S&D Transit, where he delighted in transporting and interacting with children.
Brian had a deep passion for music, especially the soulful sounds of artists like Mary J. Blige and Aaliyah. Known for being outspoken, punctual, and outgoing, he brought energy and authenticity into every space he entered. He cherished all of his family and was truly the definition of a “Mama’s Baby,” always showing immense love and respect for his mother and those closest to him.
He will be remembered for his lively personality, fierce loyalty, and strong family values. Brian Lamar Jackson’s presence lit up every room, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
