Blanche Elizabeth Washington was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 31, 1956. She was the beautiful daughter born to the late Lloyd Miller Sr. and Blanche Elizabeth Scott. She attended A. Leo Wile Elementary School, Schenley High School and after graduation continued her education at Ohio State University where she received her associate’s degree. Blanche was an accomplished artist and her artwork was exceptional. However, her most memorable qualities was her love for cooking and baking. On many occasions, she would cook a very large meal and share it with her neighbours in her apartment complex. Her heart was filled with love and compassion, and she enjoyed making others happy. She began every phone call with “Hello, Sweetie” and ended the conversation with “I Love You”. Blanche was an exceptional Sign Language interpreter, known for her skill and dedication. She used her talent to connect people, bridging communication gaps and making a profound impact on the community, especially her neighbour Mr Frank. Blanche departed this life on October 5, 2024. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tanika Washington, her father, Lloyd Miller Sr., mother, Blanche Elizabeth Scott-Reynolds, stepfather, Mike Reynolds, brothers, Joseph Patton and Lloyd Miller Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Dwayna Franklin and Qwayne Franklin; grandson, TyShaun Franklin; granddaughters, Kyleigh Freeman and Alyria Franklin; siblings, Kim Evans, Charlton Miller (Sherrie), Regina Howard, LeJon Miller, Michelle Gibson (Stephen), Heather Covington (Gar), Megan Miller and Crista Miller; aunt, Maryanne Burley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Blanche’s warmth, resilience and zest for life left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her
