Benjamin Franklin Dixon, III was a caring and loving father, supportive son, protective brother, loyal family member, and genuine friend. He left this world suddenly on July 29, 2021, at age 33.
Ben was born to Benjamin Franklin Dixon, Jr. and Carla Lynn Tinsley on July 5, 1988. His memory is carried in the hearts of his mother (Carla), three brothers (Anthony, Salah, and Yusuf), one sister and brother-in-law (Khadijah and Gerard), six children (AuJanee, Benjamin IV, Breonn, Bri’Asia, BraieLon, and DaKarri), four nephews (Daydrian, Kaysen, Carter, and Noah) and one niece (Noelle), as well as an incredibly large host of family and friends
As a child, Ben had a fearless spirit and was never afraid to perform daredevil stunts. A broken collar bone, a few forehead stitches, and several Band-Aids later, he quickly earned the nicknames “Evel Knievel” and “Chuckie”. Ben inherited natural gifts like working with his hands from his father and his head from his mother. He was well-known for taking apart his electronic toys and putting them back together again.
After graduating from Frew Mill High School, Ben chased his passion of becoming an electrician. He earned a diploma with high honors in Electrical Technology from the Kaplan Career Institute and completed the A. Philip Randolph Institute BTCP Training Program. He was most recently following his tradesman vocation as an employee at Perrotte Wood Finishing.
He loved to spend time with his children and family, watching and playing football and basketball, and solving puzzles.
