Arthur Nance Obituary

Peacefully, on Sunday, January 7, 2024, Arthur R. Nance affectionately known as "Fatman" entered eternal rest. Born May 28, 1959, to Arthur NAnce and the late Lorraine Nance.

Fatman graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1977, Upon graduation he matriculated to Tuskegee Institute. There he excelled in academics and baseball; which was his first love. He graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and became a member of the Golden Boys. He also became a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

His first job after graduation was as an accountant for a major accounting firm in the Pittsburgh Region. He later moved to the Maryland area making that his home. He decided to get away from crunching numbers and moved into the field of law enforcement where he aspired to become a warden of the Maryland prison system.

In 1984, Fatman met Dawn Michelle Corpening . They dated for several years before getting married in 1988. From this union, three children were born. Brian Miles, Aaron Micheal, and Alyse Michelle Nance.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dawn Michelle Nance, his mother Lorraine Nance, and brother Damion (Dede) Nance.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Brian, Aaron, and Alyse Nance; his Father Arthur Nance (Mary); a sister, Nrs. Dina Hanns (Perry); and a host of cousins, family and friends, and his brothers of Tuskegee
