Andrew Price McNeill III

It is with deep sorrow, and much love that we mourn the passing of, Andrew P. McNeill, III, of Pittsburgh, PA, on December 29, 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh in 1966 to the late Andrew P. McNeill, Jr. and Lisa Marie (Hogan) McNeill. Andrew, affectionately known and Drew to his family and friends, attended Brashear High School where he excelled in athletics. Football and track and field were his sports of choice. Upon graduating in 1985, Drew joined the United States Navy, and served for two years. After leaving the Navy, Drew moved to New York and found a job he loved with Abraham & Strauss. He then moved back to Pittsburgh and attended CCAC to pursue an Associates Degree in Business. He also worked for PNC, AT&T, Comcast, and Port Authority. To know Drew was to love Drew. He was full of energy and would light up every room he entered. He was intelligent, funny, and known for his colorful and entertaining stories; which he loved to repeat again and again and again some more.

Music will forever be synonymous with Drew. While many may know that he was an avid listener, not too many know that he also possessed a talent for writing songs. Another source of joy were his grandchildren. Every effort was made to instill all of the love that he could give to each and every one of them. They will never have to question the love that their Pap Pap had for them. Words cannot fully express the impact that Drew has made upon our lives.

He will be remembered by his wife, Shawna; his brother, Fidel (Thomasina); sisters: Stacie, Maleeka, Khaleelah, and Myra; children: Andrew Sean and Aaron Price; grandchildren: Ziare, Mylah, Ava, Saria, and Sabion; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Those we love do not go away; they forever walk beside us in our hearts and memories.
