Andrea Bernice McDonald

Andrea (Bernie) McDonald began her journey through life in Washington, DC. She is the first child born to Margie Green. Andrea went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2022.

Andrea was united in holy matrimony to John Edward McDonald and to that union was born one son, Damon and one daughter, Danielle Nicole.

Andrea graduated from McKinley Tech High School in Washington, DC and then went on to business school. She never let her need for adaptive equipment or support interfere with her ability to be independent. She was able to drive and serve others because of her determination and resilience.

Sister Bernie accepted the Lord as her personal savior and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the Holy Spirit. She was a faithful member of Faith Temple Lighthouse Church where she served as a Missionary, President of the Pastor's Aid Auxiliary and a member of the Women's Council. She had a sincere love for people and humanity.

She loved the Lord with all her heart and on November 18, 2022, the Lord saw fit to call her home. She was preceded in death by her husband and children.

She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her mother Margie Green of Newark, NJ, her brother Jason Green of Newark, NJ, four grandchildren A'aryonna Fontes, John, Elijah and Jasmyne McDonald, special cousin Maurice (Roseanna) Williams of Washington, DC, special niece Jennise McDonald of Pittsburgh, PA, and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to Patricia Davis who she considered her spiritual sister and a very dear friend.
