On September 13, 1950, Amelia Reid was born to Louise Moore in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She departed this temporal life in preference to life eternal on February 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM.
Amelia attended Westinghouse High School and went on to attend college for two years.
She was employed by H.J. Heinz Company in 1977 and retired after more than 30 years. She worked in the Packing and Labeling Department and in the Sterilization Department before her retirement.
Amelia loved traveling and spending time with her grandsons. She was an avid pool shark, and she was the biggest Steeler fan. She loved her team.
Amelia was blessed with one son, Shaun A. Reid.
A point of maturity was reached in Amelia's life when she professed a hope in Christ. She read her Bible regularly and attended various churches.
Amelia was preceded in death by her mother, Louise "NuNu" Moore, and her uncle Norman Reid.
She leaves to mourn her memory, her son, Shaun Reid and daughter-in-love, Lisa Reid, of Woodbridge, Virginia; sisters: Kathleen "Kathy" Murry of San Diego, California, and Pamela "Pam" J. Watkins of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren: David L. Rayzer and Miles A. Reid of Woodbridge, Virginia; two nieces: Myra Reid and Stormme Watkins; two nephews: Kim Miller and Fred Murry; and her best friend, Charlotte Porter of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
