Allen Coker III, lovingly known by his family as "Buddy," transitioned from this life to eternal peace on August 3, 2024.
Born on May 4, 1994, to the late Gail Yvonne Thomas and Allen Coker, Jr., Allen was the youngest of nine siblings. As a child, Buddy had a passion for learning and earned numerous accolades for his academic dedication. He spent many cherished moments at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with his Grandma Zula and sister Brittany, where he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized.
Allen received his education through the Pittsburgh Public School System, graduating from Career Connections Charter High School. Throughout his life, he was surrounded by a loving family and close friends. He had a deep appreciation for family gatherings, especially during holidays, birthdays, and cookouts. When his first child, Dudy, was born in 2016, his love for family deepened even further. He was a proud father, deeply devoted to his daughters, Autumn and Alleonna. Buddy was known for taking his children, along with nieces and nephews, to the latest play spots around Pittsburgh. His generosity, sense of humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His bright smile could light up any room and bring joy to every family gathering.
In recent years, Allen discovered a love for travel, inspired by his sister Camille, and had many destinations on his bucket list. He also had a passion for stylish cars and the latest fashions.
Allen was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Zula Thomas and Essie M. Coker, mother, Gail Y. Thomas and his father, Allen Coker, Jr.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Allen Coker IV "Dudy," Autumn, and Alleonna, along with Anna Davis, the mother of Dudy and Autumn; his siblings: Gene Thomas, Damian Thomas, Colby Johnson (Angela), Camille Burton, Derek Coker (Amber), Aaron Coker-Thomas (Tenille), Ebonie Coker, Brittany Coker; and nephew Derek "Sweetie" Coker Jr., who was more like a brother. He is also remembered by his devoted aunts, Elder Nellie Coker-Mells and Shirley Thomas-Cephas (Floyd), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
