Yvonne Thompson

Her Life Story

The exceptional life of Yvonne Denise Thompson began September 10, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA.  Yvonne was the sixth child of eight children born to Dorothy E. Thompson.  

Yvonne was a longtime resident of Wilkinsburg.  She received her GED in 1978 and became employed as a Nurse Assistant.  Several years later she accepted a position at the Children's Institute in Squirrel Hill as a Teacher's Assistant where she worked for sixteen years until her retirement.

Yvonne loved good food and socializing with family and friends.  Her famous string beans were always a special request at family gatherings.  If you became a friend of Yvonne, you became family.  The God in her was demonstrated by how she loved others.

Yvonne will be well received by God and dearly missed by her friends and family.
