Sunrise for Whilemenia Page Durant Grifith began on September 3rd, 1942 in Durham, North Carolina.  Whilemenia is preceded in death by father Esan Page, mother Virginia Page, sister Lou Pearl Harris and brother Conrad Page.

Whilemenia is survived by her sisters, Mary Page, Clarita Moore, Phyllis Brown, Retha Page, Deborah Baines, Lisa Patterson and Rosalind Rosemond; her brothers, Lee'Von Page, Curtis Page and Darryl Page; her children, Macomico Durant and Stephan Durant; her grandchildren, Lakyshia Butler, Ashley Durant, Justin Durant, Jay'Von Durant, Kendarius Durant, Aleana Durant, Stephan Durant, Jr., and William Durant; her great grandchildren, London Butler, Marrico Butler, Guy Butler Jr., Gab Butler, Camren Chapman, Orlando  Chapman, Amina Durant, Gianni Durant, Jay'Von Durant Jr., Nalah'J Durant and Novy'Aj Durant and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends.

Whilemenia was an Activist and lifetime Silver member of the NAACP- Pittsburgh Chapter.

Whilemenia will be in tune with her late husband, Jack Griffith, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
