Mother,

This coming Monday 12/11 will make 6 years since you received your wings. I know you’re looking down upon us and keeping everyone covered in the blood of Jesus.

You are truly missed, R.I. P and know that you’re loved.

Mother-

Missing you dearly! Floating through life and making the most of your absence. Life as you know it is different. Surviving the pandemic and putting our lives back together as we know it to be.

Leaning on to you soft wisdom to move about life. Searching for a better tomorrow longing to hear your voice one more time. I know that one day we will meet but until. Rest In peace!! I love you...

Mother, 4 years ago today. We said good bye! Life as we know it has changed into a new normal. Making life harder because I don’t have your guidance and love to lead the way. I miss you and I would give anything to hug and kiss one more time.

Hello Mother-

How are you doing? The last 6 months has been unreal. Ms. Woreen, Mr. Kenny, Mr Wally and now Ms Jeanette has received their wings. I bet you guys are having a hell of a time in heaven. I love you and enjoy your childhood friends. Until we see each other again, I love you so much...

Dear mother,

You died 1 year today. I still can’t wrap my mind the fact that you are gone. The craziest thing, I forget sometimes and start to call you. Yea, I have my moments when I crave to hear your voice one more time. I play the video I made of you so I can keep you close to my heart & soul. I miss you mother and I Love You so much. In the words of Sydney “Grind like Odeal and Pray like Welzetta”

Hello Mother, yesterday was 82nd Birthday. Everyone celebrated your special at Grace church with cake & ice cream. Sydney wrote the following poem in your honor.

Happy Resurrection Sunday family! Today is a special day! Not just for Jesus Christ, but because today would have been Welzetta's 82nd birthday. Also, we are coming up towards the anniversary of Granny D's death. As we are celebrating, remember this: Pray like Welzetta, Grind like Odeal! These were two strong women that exemplified keys traits that we should use. If you use them, then you have the power of the head matriarchs within you! If not, channel their traits from time to time. You guys enjoy your day and meditate on the scripture that's given in service today.

Dear mother,

Today was a really hard day for me, I have so much I want to tell you. I miss our daily 4 pm talks on my ride home. I am getting to the point where I am dreading the 4 o’clock hour because I have my heart on sharing my day. I know you are in a better place and enjoying heavens grace. God knows I give anything to just have one more conversation with you. I love and miss you dearly.

Your loving daughter Gail

Dear mother,

It has been 16 days since you have gone to be with the king. I miss you so much that I don’t which way to go. I get in my car at 4 pm heading home from work and start to call the house and have to remind myself that you’re not there anymore. I just have a conversation with you anyway. I know life will be hard however you have provided us with the values that will carry on into the next life time. Hey Mary, stop making all that noise (tap-tap-tap).

I love you mother and you are always with because I have your smile . Well done and rest in peace!

Carol and Family,
I am saddened to learn of the passing of one of my Mom’s long time friends. Your Mom was one of our neighborhood “Moms” whom we respected :).
I hope that loving memories help you through the grieving.

Germaine I wish I could be there in person but I am in spirit. During your mourning, may you find a quiet moment of still and calm where God can whisper to you "I got her, she's fine, let me comfort YOU". Look for God's agent to give you the smile, hug, laugh you need badly. They're there somewhere. I'm here when you get back to New Jersey.

To the Hardeman family. Welzetta was my second mother when her and Nance got together we never knew what would happen. I am truly blessed and grateful that I got to know Welzetta and be part of the family.
I may not be there in person but I'm there in spirit.
Stay strong and lean on each other for strength.
Love you

Rochelle
