Robert L. Bouldon Jr. was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 29, 1948 to the late Robert and Elsie Bouldon. He departed this life on September 27, 2018.
Robert attended school in the Pittsburgh Public School system. He graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1966. He then entered Point Park where he majored in electrical engineering. Robert worked on many projects as an electrical design draftsman including the original Sky Bus Project. He also designed power distribution systems in all Mon Valley Steel plants for U.S.S. Steel. In 1991 he began working maintenance at Palisades Manor. He was the quintessential handyman and remained in maintenance, ending up at Alma Illery Medical Center.
Robert always had a strong love for music. He was one of the pioneers of the band Family of E.V.E., where he played the bass guitar. He enjoyed playing bass and was an active member of the music ministry at Nazarene Baptist Church. he began Sundance Music in 1985 and later became known as the legendary "DJ Bobby B". He has kept people on their feet ever since, playing at hundreds of weddings, class reunions, parties and community festivals. His last event was the Rankin Community Day in August of this year. He has played in clubs all over the city. Some of his fondest memories were making and playing music.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, ex wife Joyce, and grand-daughter Charlotte. He leaves to celebrate his life: sons, Eric, Leon, John(Jess), Brian (Cadi), and Michael; daughters Charlotte(Jimmy), Kelly(Todd), and Velvet; grandchildren; Akyria, Davonta, Cameron, Precious, Troy, Brandy.Cadence, Bentley, Tyrell, T'Naya, Kayla, Steven, Brian Jr., Connor, and Austin; great grandchildren, Janiyah, Lundyn, Skylar Jr. and Troy; fiance, Paula Day; and ex-wife Patricia.
