Obituary
Ritchard Matthew Jones, affectionately known as “DEE-JAY” was born on December 22 1981 in Savannah Georgia to Rainey LaVerne Jones & Daniel Jones Jr and suddenly SNATCHED AWAY from us so unfairly on October 14 2019.
If he allowed you to call him “DEE-JAY” you just KNEW when he batted his pretty green eyes at you that he considered you as one of his close family members or friends.
“DEE-JAY” was an Army Brat who lived in Germany, Georgia, Kentucky & Oahu Hawaii.
“DEE-JAY” attended schools from all over the globe and finally achieved his GED passing with flying colors.
“DEE-JAY” was an intelligent young man and could do ANYTHING he set his mind to do. His always dreamed that he could become a serious cartoon artist in which he PROUDLY carried around his masterpiece of portraits in his coveted big black book.
“DEE-JAY” worked hard trying to find his way thru many professions but actually found his niche by using his unique people skills when he excelled at his tenure H & R Block as a dedicated receptionist.
“DEE-JAY” was loved by his siblings, Michael Stephen Jones, Lindsay Christine Jones and Benjamin LaVaughn Jones. He was also loved & cherished by his nieces Carma Michelle Jones & Amirah Renee Jones & his only nephew Julani Daniel Jones.
“DEE-JAY” was loved by his grandma Ruth Jones & aunts Shahidah Abdullah, Donna Whiting, Tammy Allen, Roxanne Allen, Nicole Wilson & Kim Green & an uncle Christopher Jones. He also had 2 very close cousins William Miller & Victor Allen.
“DEE-JAY” is also loved by a very huge family of other aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as a host of other family members & friends that are too numerous to mention.
“DEE-JAY” is proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother Christine Juanita Miller & both of his grandfathers Daniel Jones & William Julian Miller and his little baby brother “baby Daniel Jones III” with whom “DEE-JAY” was the only one in the family who was brave enough to cradle him when he quietly passed away in “DEE-JAY’s” arms back in the year of 1997.
