Philip Dennis Arrington

Philip Dennis Arrington was born March 16, 1955 to the Late Audrey M. Arrington.  He departed this life peacefully on the morning of September 10, 2018, at the age of 63.

Dennis, known to many as Phil, was educated in the Diocese of Pittsburgh Schools and the Pittsburgh Public Schools.  He graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in 1973.  Dennis worked for a number of companies to include the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Giant Eagle and the Pennsylvania State Liquor Control Board, from which he retired.  After retirement, Dennis decided to follow his dream to return to school to study Heating Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration.

Dennis accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at Saint Richard Catholic Church.  In his later years, he reaffirmed his relationship with Christ.  Dennis loved people.  His strong faith in God enabled him to accept people for who they were.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 16 years, Shelby Steele Arrington; daughter Jemutai K, Kirui of Houston, TX; son Brandon Philip Arrington of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter Tyler Steele; step-children James "Donnie" Moss, Bridgedette Dockett and Miya Brimage; Goddaughter Denise Scott Mejia and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom he loved very much.

Dennis also leaves his loving siblings Anita (Louis) Hansborough, Lori Arrington, Karen Arrington. Michael (Angela) Arrington, Carmen Arrington and Carla Suber; cousins Reggie Hopkins, Ross Hopkins, Scotty Walker, Carl Kent, Charles Walker and a host of close family and friends.

Dennis is preceded in death by his very close friend, Sheri Scott Robinson.
