Mary Inez (Gibbs) Hutchinson

Mary Hutchinson was born on January 29, 1942 in Dover, Delaware to the late George and Irene Matthews.  She departed this life on May 3, 2017.

Mary attended elementary school in Dover.  The family later moved to Pittsburgh, PA where she attended and graduated from Westinghouse High School.

As a teenager Mary showed her independence and strong work ethic working as a mother's helper earning her own income.

As an adult, Mary worked at Union Switch and Signal and West Penn Hospital.  She found her calling when she began working as a para professional for the Pittsburgh Public Schools. She became a mother figure to many children over her 30 plus years of service offering compassion and unconditional love to all whose lives she touched.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Donald; daughter, Stephanie; sisters, Judy and Mildred; brother, Bronny; and grandchildren, Taylor and Addison; son-in-law, Charles; five step-daughters and step-sons; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

                       Our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine.
