Mark Valentine Grigsby

Mark Valentine Grisby was born on March 27, 1960, in Pittsburgh, PA and was raised by his mother, Montera Louise and father, Walter Valentine Grigsby (deceased).

Mark was the 3rd of 4 children, Linda E. Brown (Jay), Walter A. Grisby (Pam) and Traci A. Hairston (Roddy).  Mark was tethered to his mom.  She was forever his anchor.

If you ever met Mark, you would remember him.  He was living out loud.  He was adventurous, outgoing, gregarious and somewhat mischievous.  Mark had many friends throughout his life.  Garfield was home.  His most loyal and best friend was Kevin Harvey.  He went to Rogers Elementary School, graduated from Peabody High School and then went to school for auto mechanics.  He had a passion for cars and especially for working on cars, which was also his livelihood.

Mark truly loves and was so proud of his 3 beautiful children and 8 precious grandchildren who will carry on his legacy: his eldest, Nigel Lee Harvey-Grisby (Maleisha Reedy; Nigel Raijon, Heru Akbar, Nasir Re', Nala Malay Life), his princess, Danielle Nicole Thomas (William Prince; Rashai Danai, Sir William) and his baby boy, Marcus Valentine Grisby aka Z"Money" (Kielan Miles; Kaliyah Leelle).  Mark also leaves to cherish his memory his 4 nieces, Amy, Amber, April and Rbonie and 5 nephews, LeRoy, Jaysson, Matthew, Trey and Rod, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
