Marion Washington, Jr.

Born July 19, 1931 Marion Washington Jr. passed on to be with the Lord on Nov 4, 2019 at the age of 88. He is the second oldest of six children from the union of the late Marion Washington Sr. and Lula Miller Washington.

Marion graduated from Schenley High School in 1950. While at Schenley, he met Joan Washington and married her in 1954. Of this union was born three children, the late Steven Washington, Craig Washington, and the late Donna Washington Terry. He also raised two children, Erika Washington Cox and Stepheny Washington.

While raising his family, Marion pursued an interest in the field of Construction. He developed a reputation of being one of the finest construction workers in the city and was sought after by many large corporations. Marion worked as a Master Plaster for 47 years until he retired in 1997. He worked for major corporations such as Siciliano Brothers and Rivers.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Steven Washington, daughter Donna Washington Terry, his father Marion Washington Sr. mother Lula Miller Washington and brothers John Paul, Thomas, Joe and Jimmy Washington.

He is survived by his wife Joan Washington, son Craig Washington, daughters Erika Washington Cox and Stepheny Washington, one sister Florence Duncan, oldest grandson Edward Hyatt Jr and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
