Lydia Ernestine Pennington

Lydia E. McCorkle Pennington was born on December 3, 1937,  to the late Osborne and Marie McCorkle.

She was married to the late Marvin H. Pennington.  This union was blessed with two children, Angela and Valon, whom she dearly loved.

Lydia worked for and retired from the VA healthcare system in Pittsburgh, PA.

Lydia was a faithful member of the Shiloh Community Missionary Baptist Church where she served with the Sr. Usher Board Ministry.

Lydia was a dedicated member of the East Tri-Borough Neighborhood Association where her voice was heard.

Lydia was preceded in death by a number of sisters and brothers, Sister Milvette Adkins, Elijah McCorkle and Clarence McCorkle.

Left to mourn her loss is her daughter Angela Marcia Pennington of Pompano Beach, Florida and her son Valon Craig Pennington (Molly) of Pittsburgh, PA.  Grandchildren; Darla Pennington, Phineas Pennington and Dash Nagle.
