We have come together to celebrate and honor the life of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Lillian B. White, whose soul departed this life for a better state on Thursday, March 16, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones at Manor Care Bethel Park. We thank God for allowing us to be a part of her life. Lillian, daughter of Raymond H. Momon and Anna Belle Chandler was born November 20, 1926, in Snowden, Pennsylvania, the fourth of four children. She graduated in 1946 from the Snowden Township School District, Library, Pa (now the South Park School District). She was united in marriage to John H. White on March 1, 1949. They were blessed with two children, a son, Barry and a daughter, Valerie…They celebrated their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary, March 1, 1999, before the death of her beloved husband, John. Lil, as she was fondly known, accepted Christ was baptized, became a member and president of the Usher Board of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Library, Pa, under the pastorate of the late Reverend Chester Byars. While raising her family, she was employed at South Park Cleaners, until she retired in 1972. She took great pride in taking care of her home and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, John and three siblings, Dorothy, Raymond, and Edward. She leaves to cherish her loving memory a son, Barry White of South Park; a daughter, Varlerie Stewart of Penn Hills; three grandchildren, Michelle Jones of Penn Hills, Travis Thompson and Frances Larkin-Thompson of Beaumont, Texas and Dustin Avery of Penn Hills, along with six great-grandchildren, Travis (Booterz) Maloy, Corey Jones, Jr. Trasjon Thompson, Isaiah Jones, Bailey Klaus Thompson, and Chalice Dudley, a brother-inlaw and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Jean white of Dayton, Ohio, along with sister-in-law, Sadie White of Bridgeville, Pa, and host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
